Robert
M. Kimble, SPHR
Bob
began his association with Miles LeHane in 1996, and brought with
him more than 30 years of experience as a senior human resources
professional. He has demonstrated an ability to create, institute
and adapt programs to meet changes in organizational needs and
to work closely with individuals to provide guidance and/or assistance
with the resolution of work and career challenges.
After
graduating from Stetson University’s School of Business
with a major in accounting and working with IBM for a year, Bob
began his human resources career in Atlanta. Over the course of
the next 27 years, he experienced the HR field through health
care employers in government, educational, and community non-profit
structures with employee populations ranging from 1,000 to 3,500.
Moving
on to explore the human resource field outside of health care,
Bob began consulting in 1997 to provide professional and creative
human resource services to companies and individuals in the Washington,
D.C., metropolitan area. During this time, his roles have been
diversified, including outplacement counselor, executive coach,
facilitator, mediator, management trainer, and human resources
consultant. He has also taken the opportunity to broaden his area
of expertise to include conflict resolution in the public sector
becoming certified by the Supreme Court of Virginia to mediate
court-referred cases and becoming certified to administer and
interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. In addition, he is
an Equal Rights Officer in the disaster assistance cadre of the
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
Bob’s
management and life styles are characterized by a desire to assist
people and organizations in achieving their best at all times.
His intuitive ability combined with a strong analytical aptitude,
produces unique solutions and programs that fit an individual
or organization’s character. He is known for negotiating
a balance between individual concerns and organizational goals
while retaining the trust of both parties.
Bob
communicates with a personal touch using past experiences, humor,
and real-life examples to create a relaxed environment and enhance
communication for positive outcomes. These qualities have generated
many successful speaking and training engagements for his professional
societies, civic groups and other parties who know of his talents.
Bob
is also certified as a Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR).
He is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management,
the Association for Conflict Resolution, the Virginia Mediation
Network and the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources
Administrators. Bob is a charter member and former President (2001-2002)
of the Rotary Club of Leesburg.
